In 2018, at the recommendation of Dennis Tousana, the Chief Engineer at Soundmine
recording studio in Chicago, the legendary lyric writer Jack Daniels and William Kurt, an
amazing pianist, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, music copyist, producer, and musical director
were introduced. William Kurt is an “heir of a prestigious musical lineage and the distinguished offspring of divine intervention.” He was born to powerhouse musicians, Beverly Mclin & William Leathers, and is the grandson of renowned composer, educator, and author Dr. Lena Mclin. His great uncle is none other than Thomas A. Dorsey, the father of gospel music. William’s musical talent, creativity, and drive for success was so inspiring that it led to a song collaboration with lyric writers Jack Daniels & John Cummings from West Memphis, Arkansas.
